Question from Josef *** of Schweiz:
Bought yeasterday a Dux Ducis – 2in1 iPad 9.7 (2018/2017)
Which is the correct Keyboard setting on the iPAD
– Keyboard Layout -> English (USA) ? / English (UK)? Deutsch (Deutschland)? / etc.
– QWERTY ? / AZERTY? / QWERTZ ?
Currently the special character printed on the keys do not correspond to the actually printed characters in a e.g. word document.
– e.g. “shift / 9” should be “(” -> but prints “)”
“shift / 2” should be “@” -> but prints “ç”
Thanks for your feedback.
Answer:
Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your Dux Ducis 2-in-1 iPad 9.7 (2018/2017) keyboard. Based on your description, it seems the keyboard layout settings on your iPad do not match the physical layout of the keyboard. Here’s how to resolve this issue:
1. Check the Physical Keyboard Layout
Look at the physical keys on your keyboard to determine its layout. Common layouts include:
QWERTY (used in the USA, UK, and many other countries)
AZERTY (commonly used in France and Belgium)
QWERTZ (commonly used in Germany and other German-speaking countries)
2. Set the Correct Keyboard Layout on Your iPad
Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Hardware Keyboard.
Under Keyboard Layout, select the layout that matches your physical keyboard. For example:
If your keyboard is QWERTY, choose English (US) or English (UK).
If your keyboard is AZERTY, choose French (France).
If your keyboard is QWERTZ, choose German (Germany).
3. Test the Keyboard
After selecting the correct layout, test the keyboard to ensure the special characters and symbols match the physical keys.
4. If the Issue Persists
If the problem continues, it’s possible that the keyboard’s firmware or hardware is not functioning correctly. In this case, please contact the seller or the manufacturer for further assistance.
